In January 2017, our dear friend Jennifer Lynn was diagnosed with Triple Positive Breast Cancer.

After being diagnosed, the oncologist suggested 6 chemotherapy cycles, 11 cycles of Herceptin IV, followed by surgery and radiation. Jennifer was very hesitant to put her body through these procedures due to having two family members pass after deciding to go through with these conventional approaches. After extensive research Jennifer decided to take a more natural route to cure her cancer and has managed to stabilize it by using food as medicine, and alternative medicines.

Unfortunately, alternative approaches to cancer are not supported by the health care system. Jennifer and her partner, Luckie, have been paying out of pocket for things such as IV therapies, liver cleanses, acupuncture, and lymphatic drainage massages – all of which rely on consistency to be effective. In addition to this, Jennifer has had to take a step back and let her body rest to enable healing. With taking only minimal work, Jennifer has been financially and emotionally supported mainly by Luckie. To add fuel to the fire, just recently a professional con artist took advantage of Luckie and Jen’s situation which further strained their financial situation.

Jenn is a free spirit who enjoys everything that life has to offer. She is spontaneous and full of energy and truly takes on life’s challenges with an open, positive “what can I learn from this” attitude. She has always been focused on self-care mentally, spiritually and physically so when Jen decided to tackle this the natural way it did not surprise any of us. What was surprising is that our Health Care/Government does not provide any financial assistance for alternate therapies. Jen is not even able to apply for disability so long as she chooses this route. This is a shame and a huge financial burden on anyone facing this type of a health challenge.

Overall what we have always admired about Jen is her sense of curiosity towards life. This allows her to experience, appreciate and grow from each one of life’s adventure, good or bad.

Throughout the years, we have shared many fun adventures with Jen, lots of laughs and we hope to share many more!

We would like to support her choice of treatment and help her in any way that we can. That is why we are asking for your donations to help her with the cost of her treatment. Anything helps, even donations of just $1. Thanks to your donations, Jennifer will be able to gain access to the treatment she needs to get through this chapter in her life. With a passion for life, Jennifer is determined to get through this with your support and will give back to the community the things she has learned through this process.

All of us together can make a difference!

Thank-you and much gratitude.

*GOAL UPDATE (By Luckie)

First off, I wanted thank and acknowledge everyone that has organized a fundraiser event, donated, shared the link, and showed up for Jen in any shape or form. It really has made a big difference and it’s because of all of you that she is still alive despite the poor prognosis, and remains strong enough to heal from this cancer diagnosis.

We have severely underestimated the out of pocket expenses for her to get through this; after almost three years of research, and consulting health professionals we’ve realized that in order for her to heal, it would require a multi-pronged approach along with constant funding to maintain a regular schedule of treatments. Unfortunately, due to a lack of funds we have been forced to stop some of the treatments which has proved to have a negative effect on her progress, as the tumor appears to be growing back.

With a better understanding on which treatments have been effective, we have recalculated all of the expenses and have changed the monetary goal. Below is the cost breakdown of every single treatment that she is doing, along with testing to help her monitor her progress, and most importantly testing that helps narrow down the type of treatments that Jennifer’s body responds positively to.

This new $100,000 goal reflects one year of treatments, that includes the $12,000 that has already been raised. The cost for one year of treatments is approximately $88,000.00, which has been added to the previous $12,000 goal.

Again thank you everyone for your support and I look forward for all of us to celebrate the day that Jennifer is cancer free.

I hope my little donation helps Jen. Amd i really hope that she is able to heal and get complete recovery. Im sorry i couldnt donate more but i struggle with health myself and go from doctor to doctor from procedure to procedures, different states to different specialists. And i dont have a job or car. Im barely surviving hanging on, but im a fighter and ill never give up on my dreams. And i will get the victory over my illness. But it is super super hard for me and im in tons of pain almost every day. So i understand how Jen feels and in some way i can relate. I understand how it feels to be in pain and cry myself to bed. Or the feeling of hopelessness. I have GoFundMe account that i created, and if you want to take a look at it and my story i would appreciate it. But sadly nobody wants to donate to my campaign. And im down to 80lbs only bone and skin. Anyways have a blessed day. And Jen you are a very lucky girl to have a guy like Luckie. I wish i had a boyfriend like said!
